America’s Got Talent returns for 14th season

Serving as the nation’s preeminent talent show, NBC’s America’s Got Talent (AGT) will once again hit the road to search for the most talented variety acts in the country. AGT is the original modern-day talent show and has led in ratings for 13 straight years.

Having just wrapped its 13th season in September, AGT once again dominated the summer television landscape, averaging 14 million viewers per episode, and served as the nation’s No. 1 entertainment show of the season in total viewers.  The show was also the No. 1 most social broadcast TV program of the summer based on Nielsen Social Content Ratings, securing more than 30 million social interactions for AGT contestants across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

This past season, Magician Shin Lim hailing from Boston, MA was crowned the AGT Season 13 champion for his mind-blowing sleight of hand magic tricks. In addition to winning the coveted $1 million grand prize, Shin heads to Las Vegas from Nov. 2-4 to headline the America’s Got Talent Live show in the Paris Theater at Paris Las Vegas. He will be joined by Season 13 finalists, singer Courtney Hadwin, trapeze artists Duo Transcend and comedians Samuel J. Comroe and Vicki Barbolak.

“There is no better platform than America’s Got Talent for discovering and showcasing the enormous diversity of talent our country has to offer,” said Sam Donnelly, AGT executive producer. “Got Talent revolutionized what it means to be a variety show.  There’s nothing on TV that compares to AGT in terms of viewership numbers and life-changing ability.  We not only showcase acts, we launch careers and change lives.  I encourage anyone with a unique talent to come on out and audition for AGT.”

AGT originally premiered in 2006 and continues to welcome performers of all talents and ages, allowing them to showcase their skills in front of the entire country, in addition to viewers in the numerous global territories that air the show.

AGT has a proven track record of creating stars who are able to build flourishing careers as a result of appearing on the show.  Season 12 winner Darci Lynne has been touring the country since appearing on the show and will have her own holiday special on NBC this December entitled Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas. Singer Grace VanderWaal followed up her Season 11 win by releasing her Billboard charting debut album, headlining her own sold out tour and touring the US with Imagine Dragons. VanderWaal is now filming her first movie as the lead actress in Disney’s adaptation of the best-selling book Stargirl. The first ever magician to win AGT, Mat Franco, has been headlining his Magic Reinvented Nightly stage show in Las Vegas since 2015. Ventriloquist Terry Fator has been headlining in Las Vegas since 2007 and currently performs at the Mirage Hotel.
