First look: Toda La Sangre

The U.S. Spanish-language premium streaming service Pantaya announced that its Spanish-language Mexican crime-thriller Toda la Sangre will premiere Thursday 15 September in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

First-look images of Aarón Díaz (Quantico) as Casasola and Ana Brenda Contreras (Dynasty) as lieutenant Mondragón, setting the tone of this upcoming action-packed mystery crime thriller. The series will be available through Pantaya in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and on STARZPLAY in Latin America.

Toda La Sangre follows Casasola (Díaz), a tabloid reporter who joins forces with police lieutenant Edith Mondragón (Contreras) and Elisa (Yoshira Escárrega), a local anthropologist, with the aim of deciphering a series of murders that have shocked the country. Together they travel through Mexico City chasing a ritual murderer whose peculiarity is to recreate ancient Aztec sacrifices. The series is based on the best-selling novels by Mexican author Bernardo Esquinca.

Along with Díaz and Contreras, Toda La Sangre cast includes Yoshira Escárrega (Here on Earth), Antonio Trejo Sánchez (Un Dia Para Vivir), Clementina Guadarrama (Roma), Cinthia Vázquez (Amar a Muerte), Odiseo Bichir (La Doña) and Julio Casado (Malverde: El Santo Patrón).

Produced by Fremantle Mexico, the ten-episode series is developed and produced by Showrunner and Executive Producer Zasha Robles from Spiral International, the creator behind Emmy-winning series Falco. The series is directed by internationally acclaimed Directors Luis Prieto (White Lines) and Hari Sama (This Is Not Berlin) and written Rodrigo Ordónez (Los elegidos), Alfaguara Prize Winner Santiago Rocagliolo (Abril Rojo), Natalia Mejia (Ingobernable) and Alejandro Gerber Bicecci (José José: El príncipe de la cancion). Fremantle will also handle international rights outside of the Americas.
