True crime returns to Cuatro, premiering the third season of En Guardia, which addresses the story of eight shocking homicides that shocked Spanish society.
In this new season, En Guardia incorporates unpublished images of the different cases provided by the Civil Guard and the cinematographic recreation of the different investigations as the main novelties. In successive installments, the programme addresses the crime of Elisa Abruñedo, the serial murders of Joaquín Ferrandiz and the murder of Consuelo Roy, among others.
Alfonso Rivera, a corporal of the Spanish Civil Guard, narrates the details of the homicide investigation, the testimonies of Marisol Burón, mother of Marta Calvo, and one of the victims, among others.
The first-person narration of the Civil Guard investigators, in which they unravel the inquiries that led them to clarify the events, and access to the material of the cases, articulates each installment of this documentary, produced by Mediaset España in collaboration with Fremantle, En Cero Coma (a Fremantle label) and La Colectiva.
It also includes the testimonies of forensic experts, prosecutors, lawyers and relatives of the victims, as well as extensive archive material from television, press and social networks, which allows the media and social context of each homicide to be reconstructed, in addition to a careful recreation of the investigations.
