What happens when a first date isn't about your job, where you live, or your age, but rather physical attraction, sexual fantasies, and your gut feeling? In the new dating format from UFA Show and Factual, Maison Tabou, singles check into a unique hotel where desire is an explicit part of getting to know one another.
Sensual blind dates, irresistible seduction, steamy surprises, crackling passion, and plenty of physical intimacy - these are the five pillars upon which Maison Tabou is built. At check-in, the adventurous singles shed their identities. The masks only come off at breakfast the next morning, when guests discover who has really been sitting across from them - and who they’ve just been getting intimate with.
With the new reality dating show Maison Tabou, RTLZWEI creates a space for sensual blind dates and physical intimacy. Maison Tabou is all about desire, curiosity, and the question of how people connect when they are free to openly embrace their sexual wishes. Singles meet like-minded people with whom they can share sensual and physical experiences. Can a genuine connection form between two people when expectations and traditional dating conventions take a back seat?
Presiding over the proceedings is "Madame," the mysterious mistress of Maison Tabou. She knows her guests, prepares the dates, and oversees the encounters from behind the scenes. However, the singles never actually see "Madame" in person. Together with her team, she creates an environment where guests can get to know one another in a relaxed atmosphere and explore their sexual desires without taboos.
The singles share a common goal: they are looking for more than just an exciting night - they want to find someone with whom a connection could develop beyond the hotel walls. Whether that intense intimacy - stripped of names and résumés - can truly last becomes clear the following morning.
That is the moment of truth: Was it just a special night - or will two people check out together?
Maison Tabou premieres on September 30, 2026; episodes air Wednesdays at 11:35 PM on RTLZWEI and are available to stream on RTL+ seven days in advance. The show is produced by UFA Show and Factual.
