Spooky thriller The Sister heads to 75 countries

Our label Euston Films scored a Halloween hit with their latest thriller, The Sister, which premiered in the UK on ITV last week. The series has racked up an impressive 5.6 million viewers and a 20.7% share according to the latest consolidated ratings, with the launch episode growing to an audience of 6.9 million viewers.

The Neil Cross series garnered critical praise from UK media, The Daily Express praised for the series for being “Addictive beyond belief” with the iWeekend adding “It suffices to say that Luther creator Neil Cross has written an effective, time-fractured murder mystery, a dark tale of guilt, redemption and even the possibility of ghosts.” The Guardian’s The Guide, also described it as “satisfyingly enigmatic and Tovey’s understated intensity is as watchable as ever.”

We have now sold this tense psychological thriller to 75 territories worldwide, including BBCWW Benelux (Belgium), Czech TV (Czech Republic), Pickbox (Adria region), RTE (EIRE), Salto (France), COSMOTE TV (Greece), Syn (Iceland), GO Plc (Malta), Manoto TV (MENA), TV 2 (Norway), CANAL+ (Poland) HBO España (Spain) HBO Portugal (Portugal), VIASAT (Russia), SVT (Sweden), IPTV/OTT streaming platform TV+ (Turkey), DirectTV (Latam), SBS (Australia) and TVNZ (New Zealand). Hulu holds U.S. rights to the series and will launch the series in January 2021.
