UFA launches new Cologne-based label UFA Good Games

UFA, one of the leading production companies for TV and streaming in the German-speaking territory, has launched UFA Good Games (UFAGG), a new label that will develop cross-platform entertainment concepts for new target groups, platforms and clients.

The aim is to combine the exciting talents and digital communities of the ever-growing esports, games and creator industry with UFA’s many years of expertise in developing and producing across all genres: from entertainment and show, via documentary and factual, to fiction, whether daily, weekly or as an event. UFAGG launched on 1 May 2025. The new UFA label is headed by Jörg Adami, previously CEO and co-founder of the eSports player foundation and Christian Körner, for many years the company spokesman of RTL Germany and most recently Director, Communications & Public Affairs for UFA.

Sascha Schwingel, CEO of UFA: “We want to enthuse new platforms with novel entertainment offerings in order to open up new target groups and revenue models. To this purpose we conducted a precise analysis of developments in the esports, games and creator industry. Combining this highly lively eco-system on a sustainable basis with our own expertise and network is an exciting project, creatively as well as economically. Jörg and Christian bring with them not only a joint vision but also excellent experience and networks, which complement each other ideally for this task. I wish both of them great success in their new roles.”

The first project for UFA Good Games is the development of an UFA Creator Academy, which is scheduled to start this year. The aim is to help young people dreaming of becoming creators to make it for real.

Jörg Adami is a strategist, creative and digital expert. His career path includes leadership positions in the fields of strategy and brand with companies such as Japan Tobacco, Telekom, Julius Meinl and Microsoft. Before Adami founded the esports player foundation five years ago, which he successfully developed as CEO, he was for ten years a member of the board of Sporthilfe, Germany’s leading private support body for upcoming as well as top sportsmen and -women.

Christian Körner is a communications expert and networker who has held leading communication positions in the fields of radio/audio, TV/streaming and production. At RTL Germany he came to head the entire external and internal corporate and programming communication, before changing to strategic communication consultancy and, finally, becoming head of UFA’s communications. He has been working in a consulting role since the start of the year.
