UFA Produkció celebrates 10 years of success

UFA Produkció, the Hungarian entertainment unit of UFA and part of the global Fremantle Group, is celebrating a special anniversary this year.

The company has been successfully producing non-fiction formats in Hungary for ten years and has established itself as one of the most important players in the local TV market. To mark the anniversary, the production company invited its partners and broadcasters to an anniversary party in Budapest last week.

What began in 2015 with the establishment of the Show & Factual division within UFA Magyarország has developed into a strong, stable and continuously growing production brand over the course of a decade – today, the company operates under the name UFA Produkció and stands for creative diversity, quality productions and strong partnerships with all of the country's leading broadcasters.

Emese Ács, Managing Director of UFA Produkció: “Over the past ten years, we have grown from a small division into an established entertainment brand that plays a key role in shaping Hungarian television. I am proud of our team and how we continue to reinvent ourselves.”

Sascha Kleinschmidt, Managing Director of UFA Produkció: “UFA Produkció stands for quality, creative energy and production strength. The anniversary is a milestone – and at the same time a starting point for a new phase in which we will further expand our international footprint.

Ten years of growth and creative strength
Over the past ten years, UFA Produkció has produced more than 1,000 hours of non-fiction entertainment, including some of the country's most successful show brands such as X Factor, Masked Singer, Got Talent, Take Me Out and The Voice.

Today, the unit focuses on a broad spectrum of licensed formats and, increasingly, programmes developed in-house. At the same time, UFA Produkció is positioning itself as an internationally connected production location and is increasingly opening up to collaborations beyond the domestic market.

A strong line-up in the anniversary year
In 2026, UFA Produkció will produce the 14th season of X Factor for RTL Hungary, continuing one of the country's most successful music shows. The 5th season of Masked Singer is also being produced for RTL Hungary, once again impressing with spectacular costumes and a huge audience response. With Best Bid, UFA Produkció is launching a new programme for RTL Hungary in which everyday people bring in valuable or unique items to be valued by experts. In addition, the second season of the successful reality show B&B of Love and the new format Weekly 7 will be produced for RTL Hungary.

The third season of the in-house development Hit the Road with Me, which won the Hungarian Big Picture Award and the TV Journalists Award in 2026, is also being produced for Viasat 3.

In addition to these already confirmed productions, UFA Produkció is currently in discussions regarding further projects that will further expand its 2026 portfolio.
