Fremantle along with Cara Delevingne’s Milkshake Productions have announced that Delevingne will present a special showcase of her forthcoming major documentary series Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne at MIPCOM CANNES (17-20 October).
Planet Sex sees Delevingne, one of the world’s most photographed people and an award-winning LGBTQ+ icon approach the major questions surrounding human sexuality; visiting communities who view and experience gender and sexuality in hugely contrasting ways and helping people to tell their own unique stories. Uniquely unfiltered and authentic, she also shares her own personal experiences and puts her mind and body on the line to explore the forces that shape our desires.
Delevingne, who serves as an executive producer on the project, will take part in a special showcase of Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne in Cannes’ iconic Grand Auditorium on the second day of the market alongside Simon Andreae, CEO Fremantle UK, founder of Planet Sex producer Naked Television and fellow exec producer. The session will feature first-seen footage and a special ‘in conversation with’ both executive producers, bringing further insights to the personal approach adopted in the show.
Billed as “the mother of all entertainment content markets,” the 38th edition of MIPCOM CANNES (17-October 2022) will gather more than 10,000 senior international television producers, buyers, commissioners and creatives from the industry’s major studios and platforms worldwide. More than 250 exhibiting studios and distributors from 45 countries are confirmed for the annual International Co-Production and Entertainment Content Market.
The six-part series is jointly commissioned by Hulu and the BBC, with global rights handled by Fremantle. Hulu is set to launch the series later this year, and it will air on BBC Three in the Autumn.

Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne is produced by Naked Television, a Fremantle label, and Milkshake Productions for Hulu and BBC Three. The executive producers are Simon Andreae, Cara Delevingne, Kate Dart and Fiona Caldwell. At BBC Three it was commissioned by Fiona Campbell, Controller, BBC Three and Jack Bootle, Head of Commissioning, Specialist Factual. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Sreya Biswas.
The event is part of an established agenda-setting conference programme at MIPCOM CANNES which helps define the TV industry year, and also features keynotes from leading global executives and creatives alongside exclusive audience and trend insight presentations. Diverse and inclusive storytelling remain at the heart of the programme and will be elevated across the week.
The Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne showcase is one of a series of high-profile screenings and events to be staged at MIPCOM CANNES 2022, alongside the previously announced Media Mastermind Keynote address, to be delivered by Fremantle Group CEO Jennifer Mullin and Fremantle Group COO and CEO Continental Europe Andrea Scrosati.
